The audit that you generate will give you step by step instructions on how you can improve your website’s search engine optimization (SEO). It is completely free to sign up and use, but there is also a pro plan that you can take a look at here.

Let’s dive into the process!


The first thing you want to do is head over to marketgoo by clicking here, and from there you want to sign up for the basic plan. marketgoo basic audit

In the sign-up process, you will need to enter your name, email address and a chosen password. marketgoo sign up

After you are done with that, you will need to enter your website address and chose a plan that you would like to use. To start with I recommend using the basic plan which is free. add a website

Finally select your target country, enter your webmaster’s email address (if that is you, then leave it blank).

Generate Free SEO Audit

Click GO to generate an SEO audit for your website, wait a minute for it to generate and then once it is done, move on to the next step.

View Your Audit

Once you have your free SEO audit, this is the page you will see. (We will call this your ‘dashboard’) view your free seo audit

You will now have 5 different pages of information to look at, however today we will just focus on the first two which are the overview and audit pages.

– On this page you will see a screenshot of your website, along with your marketgoo score which analyses how well you have optimized your website.

Below that there is a more in depth view of your SEO progress, showing you the three main optimization sections, these are: Audit your site, Optimize your pages and increase your popularity. seo progress

After that you can see your website’s traffic, but for more accurate information you will need to connect your Google Analytics account.

Then you will see a preview of how your website will look in search engine results pages for Google, Bing and Yahoo! It will be pending for five or so minutes and then you will be able to hover over each one to see your search engine previews.

Now we have your keyword rankings, on here you will see where your website pages rank for your chosen keywords. (For the basic plan you can only add three keywords, so you will need to upgrade your plan to use more keywords.)

Audit your site (This is your website’s main SEO audit)

– On this page you will be given three checklists which tell you how to improve your site’s SEO in order to rank higher in search engines and make your website more convenient for the ‘user’. The first checklist is called ‘Site Review’.

This checklist focuses on the technical side of your site. It includes size, speed, security and much more. site review

The second checklist is called ‘On Page Optimization’. This covers the content (pages, images, posts, products, etc) within your website. on page

The final checklist is called ‘Mobile’. Judging by the name, you should know that this checklist will be all about your website’s optimization for mobile devices. This includes mobile speed, whether your website is mobile responsive, etc.


Once you have completed all three checklists, you can move on to the next page which will be ‘Optimize your pages’ but we will not cover that in this post.

Download Your Report

To download your monthly SEO report you need to head over to your dashboard and click on the button that says ‘download August report’ of course it won’t say August if it is not August when you are downloading your report.
